The app is also known as "MacWhisper." No, it's NOT shareware. It's SUBSCRIPTIONWARE with a smaller FREE version available at the Mac App Store. The free version includes two options: Base and Small transcribers. Far larger Pro versions are available with payment: PRICES: $4.99 weekly. $8.99 monthly $29.99 yearly including a 7 day trial, and a $79.99 "lifetime" license. Note that it is initially an audio recorder with the option to immediately transcribe or not. (1) You record audio of interest. (2) You choose what audio file to transcribe. It has several bells and whistles built in for maximum functionality, including a number of "AI" options. - - By contrast, Apple's built-in macOS transcription is simpler, offering essentially no bells or whistles.
